Rollinsville Colorado Townsite - Ghost town
I was standing and taking pictures when I turned around and thought I saw just the false front of a building. (See first three photos) As I moved around I realized it was a complete building and that it was just shaped like a trapezoid. Sometimes you built buildings to fit between mountains and other buildings. This is a great example. Nice little town. I have stopped often for a cool one and some conversation with the locals.
The red building was the old stage station. At one time there was also a train station and a Ice House for the refrigerated train cars to load up on ice blocks. Of course that was before we got real refrigerated cars.
