Mountain City Colorado Townsite - Ghost town
Most people have never heard of Mountain City Colorado. Many people have driven right through Mountain City Colorado. They still don't know about it. In any case it got it's name because it was built on the mountain side.
Give up - it is right between Black Hawk and Central City. The landmark to tell when you are there is the old masonry shell of the Buell Mining power plant. There were tour buses in front of it or I would have gotten a picture. It is shortly after you hit the one way street leading to Central City from Black Hawk.
