Lincoln NM Townsite - Ghost town

Yep, I stood by the window where Billy the Kid shot Ollinger, I could almost hear him say,”Hello Bob”.  I walked the steps where he confronted Bell. I walked the streets where the regulators had stepped.

The Lincoln county war is full of history, violence, deception, and outright lies.

This is a town to visit, see the Tunstall - McSween store, The Lincoln county courthouse, the torreon built in the 1850’s, and the Wortley Hotel built in 1881.

This is a historic landmark so you won’t find the place filled with tourist shops but you can see hundreds of artifacts from the original Tunstall store. A town rich in history and willing to share with all that come to visit.
