Guess Who

Leadville Colorado Townsite - Ghost town

Well, not really a ghost town as there are people living here and quite a few tourists if you happen to go through on the 4th of July weekend. I was attracted to the town because of Doc Holiday and the altercation he got into while in Leadville. Those of you that know Doc can easily see it happening in a rough mining town.

There is a ton of history in Leadville that makes it an attraction to almost anyone. Famous people like Horace Tabor, David May, Soapy Smith, and the famous "Unsinkable" Molly Brown. Numerous mines, beautiful buildings, colorful characters, gorgeous scenery and even the history of the Leadville ice palace. A must see location if you are traveling through Colorado.

If you are interested in Soapy Smith check out this site. www.soapysmith.net
