Guess Who

Cerrillos New Mexico  Townsite - Ghost town

It took two miners from Leadville Colorado to find the gold in 1879. That is when the boom started.  This town still has the dirt streets. Nice little town with plenty to see. Even some tourist type things. This place (little hills) has more than it's fair share of mining history and gems and minerals. Also been made famous in several movies. Like The Nine Lives of Elfego Baca , Young Guns, Young Guns II, Vampires, and don't forget  The Cowboys, starring John Wayne.

Would you believe it was once considered as the capital of New Mexico, or that it had 21 saloons, 5 brothels and 4 hotels?
